(04) ADDITIONAL STOP FOR THE ASSEMBLY OF MOTOR VEHICLE SHOCK ABSORBERS. FR 3 064 972 - A1 _ The invention relates to a method for mounting a telescopic suspension damper (20) on the body of a motor vehicle, this damper (20) having a lower end fixed beforehand on the rear axle of the vehicle, and an upper end (22) kept compressed by a means of compression of the shock absorber (20), intended to be fixed on a support of the body (6), this method being remarkable in that it comprises after the descent of the body on the rear axle, a step of installing on this body an additional stop (30) having a bearing surface (34) receiving below the upper end of the shock absorber (22 ) when relaxing. ADDITIONAL STOP FOR MOUNTING MOTOR VEHICLE SHOCK ABSORBERS The present invention relates to a method of mounting a suspension damper on the body of a motor vehicle, as well as an additional stop implemented by such a method, and a motor vehicle comprising this additional stop. Motor vehicles comprise for each wheel a suspension comprising a suspension spring, and a hydraulic damper which slows down the movements of the suspension. In the case of telescopic shock absorbers arranged substantially vertically at the rear of the vehicle, it is known for assembling vehicles in a first step to fix to a preparation station the lower end of these shock absorbers on the rear axle of the vehicle . In a next step, the vehicle body is lowered onto the rear axle, then the upper end of the shock absorbers is fixed to this body. For telescopic shock absorbers comprising integrated rebound springs, a known device for holding these shock absorbers in a compressed position, presented in particular by document FR-A13027083, uses a strap comprising sides fixed to the body of the shock absorber, and a part central covering the shock absorber rod to prevent its exit. After the vehicle body is placed on the rear axle, an operator cuts the strap of each shock absorber to let them relax, then fixes the end of their rod to the body. In particular during the rise of the damper rod, its upper end can come to bear on a substantially horizontal support surface facing downwards from an upper support fixed in a wheel arch of the body. Screws for fixing the upper end of the shock absorber to the support are then engaged to permanently fix this shock absorber. However, a problem arises for certain bodies comprising upper shock absorber supports which cannot have a substantially horizontal bearing surface. The rear axle may have equipment, for example a filler neck for the fuel tank, which must go up in the wheel arch passing in front of the upper shock absorber support when the body covers this rear axle. It is therefore not possible to make a horizontal support plane on this upper support, which would hinder the passage of this equipment. The body then does not have a support stop to position the upper end of the shock absorber. The object of the present invention is in particular to avoid these problems of the prior art. To this end, it proposes a method of mounting a suspension shock absorber on the body of a motor vehicle, this shock absorber comprising a lower end fixed beforehand on the rear axle of the vehicle, and an upper end maintained compressed by a means of compression of the shock absorber, intended to be fixed on a support of the body, this process being remarkable in that it comprises, after the descent of the body on the rear axle, a step of installation on this body of a stop additional having a bearing surface receiving below the upper end of the damper when it relaxes. An advantage of this mounting method is that before the installation of the additional stop on the support, the vehicle body not having the bearing surface of the additional stop, allows free passage of equipment located on the rear axle when lowering this body. The equipment can go back to the bottom of the wheel arch without being obstructed. The installation of the additional stop on the support is then done. Lastly, an operator releases the compression means of the shock absorber, which relaxes and is simply wedged on the support surface fixed to the support. The shock absorber is then in position to receive its fixing screws on the support. The mounting method according to the invention may further include one or more of the following characteristics, which can be combined with one another. In particular, the method may include a following step of cutting a strap keeping the shock absorber compressed. Advantageously, the method comprises a following step of rupture of the support surface during the operation of the vehicle. The invention also relates to an additional stop comprising fixing means on the body of a vehicle and a bearing surface provided for receiving the upper end of a shock absorber, this additional stop allowing an implementation by a process comprising any of the foregoing features. Advantageously, the additional stop forms an elongated bar comprising at each end a fixing means. In this case, the bar may include in a central part a tab protruding on one side, forming the support surface. Advantageously, the support surface has a connection with the bar which is precut. In this case, the bar may include a slot disposed behind the tab of the support surface. Advantageously, the additional stop is formed by a plastic material implemented by a molding process. The invention further relates to a motor vehicle equipped with telescopic shock absorbers, this vehicle comprising above the shock absorbers, additional stops comprising any of the preceding characteristics. The invention will be better understood and other characteristics and advantages will appear more clearly on reading the description below given by way of example and without limitation, with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: - Figure 1 is a cross-sectional view of a wheel arch of a motor vehicle, along a vertical sectional plane passing through the axis of the shock absorbers, showing the descent of the body on the rear axle with a method of mounting of a shock absorber according to the invention; - Figure 2 is a similar cross-sectional view showing the body at the end of descent; - Figure 3 shows an additional stop implemented in the wheel arch after the descent of the body; - Figures 4 and 5 show in cross section along a vertical sectional plane passing through the axis of the shock absorbers, this shock absorber respectively before and after its relaxation; and - Figure 6 shows the support of the upper end of the damper on the additional stop FIGS. 1 and 3 show a rear wheel arch comprising on the inner side of the wheel arch, indicated by the arrow “INT”, a vertical side plate 2 closing this passage, which ends at the bottom with a side member 4. The lateral sheet 2 comprises in the wheel arch a support 6 formed by a sheet welded to this lateral sheet, having two outwardly facing bearing faces 12, arranged in the same plane slightly inclined downwards at an angle d 'about 15 °. The two bearing faces 12 are separated by a vertical channel 14 which joins the side plate 2, forming a vertical clearance. Each bearing face 12 has a hole receiving behind an insert 8 having a thread. A telescopic damper 20 comprises a cylindrical body disposed substantially vertically, receiving in the upper part a cylindrical fixing sleeve 22 having a horizontal axis. Two symmetrical fasteners 24 aligned along the axis of the sleeve 22, each have a tab inserted in an elastomer block adjusted in this sleeve to filter vibrations, and a bore 26 receiving a clamping screw which screws into the threaded insert 8 of each bearing face 12. The fasteners 24 form an elongated bar which makes it possible to fix the damper 20 on the support 6 with two screws when the sleeve 22 is adjusted to its mounting position. FIG. 1 shows the descent of the vehicle body onto a rear axle having received the shock absorbers 20 kept compressed by a strap, and a fuel tank comprising a filling spout 10. The filling chute 10 has a substantially horizontal part coming in front of the support 6 with the descent of the box, at a minimum distance L which can be of the order of 15mm. The proximity of the filling chute 10 with the side plate 2 requires the production of a fairly flat support 6, having two bearing faces 12 forming a very small angle relative to the vertical so as not to hinder the vertical movement of this chute 10. In this case, the slight inclination of the support faces 12 does not allow the pressure of the shock absorber 20 released from its compression to be retained, by the support of its fixings 24 which would slide thereon. FIG. 2 shows the end of the descent of the vehicle body, the filling chute 10 coming clearly above the support 6, without having been hindered by this support. Figure 3 shows a next step comprising the installation of a flat bar 30 forming an additional stop, on an upper face 28 of the support 6 slightly inclined upward relative to the vertical, comprising two parts disposed on each side of the vertical channel 14. Each end of the bar 30 has a bore 32 receiving a fixing on the upper face 28 of the support 6, such as a screw, a rivet or a clipping means. The bar 30 has in its middle a tab 34 forming an abutment facing outward, having an end arranged substantially horizontally. The bar 30 produced economically by a plastic molding, has a slot 36 elongated along the length, disposed just behind the stop tab 34. FIG. 4 shows the compressed shock absorber 20, its fixing sleeve 22 being vertically below the stop tab 34 of the bar 30. FIGS. 5 and 6 show, after the release of the compression means of the shock absorber, this shock absorber 20 which has relaxed, its fixing sleeve 22 coming to bear under the stop tab 34 of the bar 30. The fixings 24 of the shock absorbers 20 then have their holes 26 aligned in front of the threaded inserts 8 of the supports 6, which allows an operator to engage screws, and to tighten them for example with a two-headed screwdriver, to permanently fix these shock absorbers on the vehicle body. Subsequently during the operation of the vehicle, with the movements of the rear suspension, the upper sleeve 22 of the shock absorber 20 makes small movements relative to the body of the vehicle, with the compression of the elastomer block inserted therein, and the oscillations. of the shock absorber around the axis of this sleeve. The sleeve 20 resting on the stop tab 34, ends with its movements by breaking this tab which is weakened by the slot 36 located just behind, forming a starting point for rupture. In this way, the stop tab 34 is removed, which prevents continuous friction on it, which can cause small noises such as squeaks during the movement of the shock absorber 20. In this way, subsequent disassembly of the bar 30 is avoided, which saves time, does not use additional disassembly tools, and does not have to recycle a temporary component to aid in the assembly of the vehicle made up. by this bar. The method according to the invention requires very few modifications to the vehicle body, in particular a simple adaptation of the support 6 to receive the bar 30 containing the stop tab 34. It is thus possible to adapt different vehicle bodies on the same rear axle having different styles, notably including for some a passage of the fuel filler neck 10 near the shock absorber support 6.
